TdF (Jeff's continued learning)

So, as shared in last blog post.  I am continually learning new things about the yarn world.  I frequently hear in the yarn shop: "Jeff, everyone knows that!"  How many of you know TdF?  

For me TDF is the Theater Development Fund.  A few of you will think of the Tour de France.   Well, I was recently schooled that TdF is Tour de Fleece.  This year, Three Crows Fiber, will be participating in TdF.  

Tour de Fleece is a community spinning event that runs alongside the famous cycling race.  The event is to encourage spinners of all levels to challenge themselves, learn new techniques, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow fiber enthusiasts.   We are also hopeful that the TdF will encourage individuals to begin the spinning journey.   I have been told that will begin with a drop spindle. (kinda like riding the tricycle before the bicycle). 

The event will begin July 4th and spinners will have until July 26th to cross the finish line.   Is it appropriate to say:  Happy peddling !
