Why Crows?

Why Crows?

It’s one of most frequently asked questions at the shop: What’s the deal with the crows? Is there a twisted origin story behind the ubiquitous mascots? Not really. But Three Crows Fiber is exactly the right name for the best yarn store in 100 miles (as the crow flies, of course.)

The Three part of the name is obvious: the owners are Karen, Jeff and Becca. But why crows and not ravens or owls or turkey vultures?

Crows are smart. And crafty. And curious. And maybe a little obsessive. They make and use tools to solve complex problems. They make gifts for those they deem worthy. They like shiny stuff. And crows build magnificent stashes (which they share!) Crows are the knitters and crocheters of the avian world. That said, birds of all feathers will find something beautiful to create with at Three Crows Fiber. Even the turkey vultures.
