One of the newest contributors to the slow fashion movement, reborn JEANS from Kremke Soul Wool is a vegan yarn made from post-consumer recycled jeans and recycled PET bottles, and is unusually soft, resembling a mixture of burette silk and wool to the touch.
The color range is narrow and that is done on purpose: Kremke Soul Wool stuck to the original colors of the jeans and didn't apply another chemical process by bleaching it and dying in different colors. The Polyester part of the yarn is made from recycled PET bottles. The raw material is sourced in India, where the yarn is spun by the same father-and-son-owned company that produces Reborn Wool. The dyes used are free of animal derivates so this yarn can be called truly vegan.
